What You Don’t Know About Success: My 3 Secrets of Success

Have you ever wondered why some people are successful and others just plain aren’t?

Maybe you aren’t as successful as you would like to be and can’t figure out why? Are you missing the secrets of success?

Success means different things to different people. A lot of times, our culture, our background, how we were brought up, etc, determines how we think of success and what we think success is. For instance you might think success is having a Ferrari in the garage (I don’t know if that’s success or not but I wouldn’t mind having one) or you might think success is living your life the way you want to live it. I know a lot of people I’ve asked here in Europe tend to answer the latter. They lean more towards a full, well rounded life when they think about success or when they are describing someone successful and that’s just fine. All we need, is to be clear on is what we think success is so that we can move towards it.

Having said that, What do I think about success or what do you think it is?

Well, for me success is being able to live your life they way you want, about being absolutely in love with your life and how you are living it. For me it’s about being as thrilled as you can be to wake up in the morning, ready to take on the world and having the attitude that it just can’t get any better than this!

So how do you get to the point in your life where you feel you’re successful by your own standards?

When you look at people who you feel are successful, do you find they have similar traits? After having spoken with hundreds of people who I’ve felt are successful, I have found that they do share some common characteristics and behaviours that we can model and I think you’ll agree with me when you read through the following tips.

1. Successful people look at life as something to build and create, not as something that happens to them.

This is probably the biggest one of the bunch and if you take anything away from this post, make it this! Successful people make their life happen. They go out and create the big and small moments everyday that make up the vision they have for their life. They are willing to make the sacrifices necessary and tough them out to get what they want. Sound familiar???

2. Successful people think BIG.

I know, I know, I know what you are going to say, “being successful doesn’t necessarily mean doing grandiose, world changing things!” I agree. But, think BIG doesn’t have to mean just that. It could mean that they don’t allow their thoughts to limit them or the actions they take on a daily basis. Thinks BIG means removing limits to how you think and what you think about.

3. Successful people focus on results and not on time spent.

I think this one pretty much speaks for itself. It’s about results and not about busy time. I used to busy all the time and could not ever get anything done, until I starte dto focus on results and not work load. If you ever want to get anywhere in life forcus on result and you begin to see miracles happen right before your eyes.

Success is no mystery. And really, there are no secrets to success. There are literally thousands of books written about it with new ones coming out every year and they all share these same common principles. Study the people you admire, who you think are successful or have achieved the type of success that you’d love to have and see what they traits they have in common and what behaviors they practice and then do what they do!

Start today by thinking BIG, focusing on results and creating your ideal life, YOURSELF!

Have a great week!
